Some Photos

Chimps

This National Geographic site has three wonderful chimp videos:

If you only have time for one, watch #2, or maybe #3.

Video #1 shows an adept father at work.
Video #2 is a nice demonstration of the visibility of allegedly obscured monitored cameras. Aka, never assume.
Video #3 demonstrates one way to include your child in your everyday activities.

Tuition Payments and Early Start Options

Early Start Option first:
Who, enrolled for Willow Hill 2011-2012 wants their child to come for an Optional Early Start before the academic year starts on Monday, September 12?

If there is enough interest we can do one or two weeks of
Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, 9:00 to 1:00 PM from
Tuesday August 30 an Thursday, September 8?
Tuition for all three days would be $85 per week.
Tuition for any two days would be $60 per week.

Next, Tuitions:
Thank you for your tuition payments.
Ten percent of your child's academic year tuition was due with enrollment.
Ten percent was due by August 1.
The next ten percent is due by September 1, with seven more monthly payments through April 2012.
If you want to take advantage of the 10% reduction on the 80% balance, that payment is due by September 1. For most of you, that would be 2560 – 256 = $2304.

And finally, the internet and its (no, MY) frustrations
For now, I seem to have my email back. Fourteen hours+/- invested via mobile phone and Chat tech assistance systems achieved that, plus a $91 credit from clearwire.

Yesterday I went to the Apple store to sort out the iDiana email recalcitrancies and went ahead and bought an iPhone4 since my aged Verizon phone was dying/dying/dying and it is too many months (3?) before the i5 comes out.

That new phone's number is still 919-357-6257 which remains my primary.

The consistent communication in all of this was the Chat aspect of WordsWithFriends.
I'm" WILLOWAG"  on WWF in case anybody wants to play Scrabble at a leisurely pace, with or without the Chat-ting.

Rise of Planet of the Apes was entertaining (but NOT for young children). I was exhausted after all of yesterday's problem-solving and there it was in front of me at Southpoint.

See you soon,
Diana
